Sometime ago I came across a strange issue with Visual Studio 2005. The icons of the toolbox was not showing the standard icons for the toolbox item but instead showing some different icon for all the items. 1. Close the Visual Studio.
2. Navigate to:- C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application\Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0. In this case its for user called “user”.
3. And delete all the files with “.tdb” extension.
But there is a side effect too with this fix, you may also lose customizations made to the toolbox.
